As a diecast collector, you may not know what cars you are interested in, initially. But, you will be found out by the cars you end up collecting repeatedly, and that is when you realise what are the cars that appeal to your DNA, without the need for any explanation. 

It is just you and your taste. 

Thus far, I have come across collectors who have a penchant for only one type of cars such as Mini Cooper, Range Rover and Ferrari. My car search has narrowed somewhat, but have yet to reach their level of clarity.

Timely Pickings of Hot Wheels and Matchbox

Today, it was such a blessing as I came to one of my favourite hotspot at the kairos moment when the staff was offloading a fresh supply of diecast cars.

Here are the pickings which appealed to me while keeping an eye on my budget. Currently, there is a promotion till end October 2023 whereby buying 3 mainline Hot Wheels for S$3.90 each will allow you to get 1 Hot Wheels for free.

Thus, if you buy 4 Hot Wheels, you pay S$11.70 which translates into around S$3.00 each.

It was a tough photoshoot with drizzling rain and someone behind the wheel. 

Took a long shot on my mobile with zoom from the side so as not to draw a suspicious response from the driver and on dry ground under the shelter of a void deck commonly featured as part of the architecture of Housing Development Board (HDB) flat.
