Car Spotting: Rolls-Royce

While I was taking photographs of this silver Rolls-Royce, the owner came around. He looked just like your neighbour next door and graciously offered to let me have a look inside before driving off.

Car spotting: Bentley Continental GT

It was a good sighting today with this Bentley and a Rolls-Royce in the next posting.

Happy 58th Birthday Singapore! (9 August 2023)

The above Hot Wheels Legends Singapore Tour Porsche is featured as part of the window display at D'Hive by Korei Pte. Ltd.

Thought that it would be fitting to feature it in this blog, as well, in connection with Singapore's 58th Birthday today.

Hot Wheels are Hot!

The allure and production of Hot Wheels cars continue to grow from strength to strength and would likely outpace the appetite of casual collectors as well as die-hard fans.

While their Mainline range or cars would continue to have a loyal following, it is the more premium and themed range of exotic cars which will appeal to the acquired taste of avid collectors, and hopefully grow its base of repeat customers.

Here is a sample for your viewing pleasure:-

a) '76 Ford Gran Torino (2017 Collector Edition)

b) '70 Mustang Boss 302 (Zamac Edition 2022)

c) Volkswagen Sunagon (Zamac Edition 2020)

Btw, the above Mustang and Volkswagen have bodyworks which are made using Zamak.

As excerpted from Wikipedia:-

"ZAMAK (or Zamac, formerly trademarked as MAZAK is a family of alloys with a base metal of zinc and alloying elements of aluminium, magnesium, and copper. The name zamak is an acronym of the German names for the metals of which the alloys are composed: Zink (zinc), Aluminium, Magnesium and Kupfer (copper)."

Click here to view some Hot Wheels Super Treasure Hunt cars which are coated  with the initials "TH" on their bodyworks. A Hot Wheels car that is without the "TH" initials is not a Super Treasure Hunt even though it might look similar in all other aspects.

Car spotting: Porsche 718 Boxster

Cars which are in use, come and go.

When you see one that catches your attention, seize the moment and capture it with your camera without hesitation. It would be hard to repeat the encounter, if ever.

The following snapshots of the Boxster are like a breeze of fresh mountain air from Porsche family's Schüttgut estate in the Austrian town of Zell am See.

Pontiac Firebirds by Johnny Lightning

The following Pontiac Firebirds are collectible-grade with fine trimmings and paintworks. To top it, they are limited editions.

a) 1967 Pontiac Firebird (package includes a plastic display case)

Paintwork: Burgundy Poly

b) 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible

Paintwork: Crystal Turquoise Poly

Would be a nice inclusion to your collection if you are a fan of the Firebird.

Majorette Porsche Trailer Assortment

Can't get enough of Porsche? Try getting hold of the following trailer sets by Majorette then.

You will find two Porsche for each of the trailer assortment in the following two combinations:

a) Porsche Taycan Turbo S + 917

b) Porsche Cayenne Turbo S + 918 Spyder

The details of the Porsche are nifty and commendable for this non-premium showcase.
